This girl goes to the beach with a wooden dog and she sees a boy with a cowboy hat. She thinks it is a silly cowboy hat. Then, she puts her dog, Toto, in the water, and then Toto gets washed out to sea. Then the girl cries for Toto, and everyone comes running, and the boy with the silly cowboy hat comes, too. He throws a rope that landed on Toto, and he pulls Toto back. Now, the girl thinks the cowboy hat is beautiful! Then, the girl asks if she can play with the rope, and the boy asks if he can play with Toto, and they play together.

This is a silly story. The book itself, how it’s made, is nice, but the story is silly. If you do put a wooden dog in the ocean, it will probably sink or be washed out to sea. But, it was nice that the girl and the boy are able to make friends. This book has words that are easy to read and I can read it to myself. I like the pictures, too.
