Sleeping in my jeans by Connie King Leonard is a sad story about a girl, her mom, and her kid sister who became homeless after running away from an abusive boyfriend. This book left me feeling for Mattie and her sticky situations. The great writing and wonderful story gave me chills while reading this drama turned mystery book. While also being a great story, this book teaches about real world issues like homelessness, domestic abuse, and poverty. This is a great book with good morals and life lessons that all people should take away from.
