The Creeps
I wish I had started with book 1 of A Samuel Johnson Tale. Not because this isn’t a phenomenal standalone book, but because this book exceeded all my expectations and could only have been made better by reading the prior books in this series. The Creeps is book 3 in this series, and comes at you from so many angles. Just when you think one thing, it is something else, and I couldn’t put it down.
Samuel Johnson and his faithful wiener dog companion are faced with the epic task of fighting off the The Shadows, who threaten to wipe clean the world, but he has some help from his companions, a demon named Nurd and his minion Wordwood, as well as a bunch of others. However, this isn’t some dark and suspenseful book. Quite the opposite, as you will find it quite funny and disturbingly difficult to put down.
What makes this book stand apart is how it is written, as if a scholarly book, complete with footnotes that provide even further entertainment. You would be crazy to not want to read this book!
