Rory is a dinosaur with a lot of energy and a very fun dad. He lives on an island, and does a lot of activities with his dad. Playing, building, fishing.
Rory’s dad reads a lot of books, but Rory finds them boring. And when dad needs quiet time, Rory is bored so he goes on an adventure all by himself. He prepares his own pack, with lunch and toys and his favorite of all, peanut butter and chocolate sandwich and off he goes, all by himself.

Or so he thinks, because his dad is secretly following him. At the river, he finds a way to cross – but it’s actually dad, not rocks, what he steps on. Then he sees a wild pig running towards him, and he roars back at him, scaring him away. But it’s actually dad, who’s roared louder from behind. When it is time for lunch, Rory forgot his coconut water, but dad shakes the tree above him, and coconuts fall in front of him, so that he can drink. And when it begins to rain, and Rory can’t find a shelter, his dad gets stuck between two trees so that he can make the rain stop over Rory.

When the rain stops, and there is a beautiful rainbow, Rory is so proud to have found it all by himself, and wants to share it all with dad. So he goes back to him and shares all his adventures.

I loved this book! Rory is really sweet, and his dad is so helpful. I had a lot of fun seeing how dad disguised himself in order to help his son without being seen.
