Ms. Spell

This is about how Ms. Spell, a schoolteacher, teaches her class about spelling, and every time the people in her class make a sentence, she makes the sentence come true. But there’s a problem with that – like a giant cake, or crazy flying monkeys with laser beams coming out of their eyes, or bubbles coming out of people’s noses! And so that’s what it was like, so she had to fix it. But it told you how to spell words like ‘before’ and ‘friend’ and ‘school’. There are also words that sound the same but mean different things, like ‘they’re’ and ‘there’ and ‘their’.

I like this book because it tells you about how to spell things that you might not know how to spell, and it does it in a funny way. My favorite picture is where there’s a circus, when the principal comes in! This book tells you how to enjoy spelling, and also how to study spelling, and some good spelling rules. The pictures are really silly and it’s a fun story. You can enjoy it too!
