If da Vinci Painted a Dinosaur

This book is a picture book. A hamster shows you how you might draw a dinosaur. All the pictures in this book are by famous artists. I think the illustrator should be famous too, for recreating all the pictures with dinosaurs. Some of them aren’t dinosaurs, though, like in Hokusai’s wave. They are prehistoric sea creatures. My favorite one is The Scream. I also like Dino Lisa and the painting by Begay and Zorach’s landscape. I like Mary Cassat’s garden too, but the dinosaurs should be wearing hats. At the end, you get to draw your own dinosaur. I’d draw an ankylosaurus in the style of Frida Kahlo. After that, there’s a section called “Meet the Artists,” where you learn about the artists whose paintings were used in the book. Then, there is “Meet the Dinosaurs,” where they say what the dinosaurs used in the paintings were. Then, the illustrator gives you advice on making art. I think they are good suggestions. This book is fun and inspires people to be creative. I think this is a good book for a gift for all ages. I’d love to read more books by them.
