If an Elephant Went to School

In the book, If an Elephant went to School, it asks if different animals went to school what would they learn? If an elephant went to school, would she learn the ABCs? No, she would learn to use her trunk as a straw, a hose, and hand. Other animals we learn about are bees, platypuses, owls, zebras and caterpillars. If a child when to school, would they learn to change colors like a chameleon? No way, they would learn things like reading, writing, math, and music.

I liked the book If an Elephant went to School because it was silly and funny. My sister is about to start kindergarten and she really liked seeing the different things she will learn in school. This book has great pictures with lots of details and bright colors. I liked that the book has lots of different animals and teaches things that each animal needs to know, like an owl learn to clean his feathers with his beak. My favorite part was the platypus because it is such a neat animal.
