A girl is sad because her father mows the lawn and he mows the dandelions that were in it but she wanted to save the dandelions. Then her father tells her that there’s another dandelion that he hasn’t mowed yet. So they go to it and blow off all the tuft, then they try to follow it until they are exhausted, and they wonder where the dandelions go. Then he tells her that they go up up and away, past the poppies, the sunflowers, the oak trees, the hot air balloons, and into the sun. But really, he tells her, they go into the ground and grow more dandelions.

The pictures in this book look weird and the people look weird. I don’t like the pictures of the people, but I like the pictures of the other flowers, especially the poppies. It is a nice story, because it is nice how the dad tells the daughter there will be more dandelions and helps her feel happy again after he mowed them down. This is a book really for someone much younger than me, but someone who was four or five would like it.
