This is the story of a girl named Wren who is scared of everything. She is in the sxith grade. One day a new girl joins her school. Her name is Silver and she is not scared of anything. She dares Wren to explore new things and to learn how to fly. Not really fly like in an airplane, but it’s time for Wren to spread her wings and jump in her life.

The World From Up Here by Cecilia Galante is a pretty good book, but there are some times when the story jumps from thing to thing without making sense. For example, Wren and Silver are at school one day and the next thing they are in the wild in the middle of nowhere. The characters are well-developed and the story generally makes sense. You can understand what they are thinking because the author writes in a way that makes it understandable. In the end of the book you understand why the book jumps around. Overall it is a pretty good book. This book would be good for kids ages eight through twelve, and girls might like it better then boys.
