The Witch of Painted Sorrows
The Witch of Painted Sorrows was such a sensual and beautiful read. I started it one night, thinking I could get a feel of it, and to see if I would enjoy it. Next thing I know, I was halfway done and I couldn’t stop, not even if I wanted to. Sandrine flees the states to escape her husband. At the time we don’t know why, but what we do know is that she arrives in Paris, the place her grandmother lives, and a place she can call home. At least, that’s what she thinks. When she arrives in Paris and at her grandmother’s house, she finds it empty. Then, out of nowhere, her grandmother shows up, only to take Sandrine to a hotel. Things start getting more weird the day that Sandrine meets a man staying at the house: Julien. Together, they discover so many wonderful things. It opens up a world of desire and intrigue, of eroticism and lust. I haven’t read a book like it and already I want to know where I can get the next one! Sandrine is such a wonderful heroine because she’s gone through so much in her life, but it doesn’t stop her. She’s stronger because of it. If you’re looking for a provocatively dark read, then I fully recommend this book for you!
