The Vanderbeekers to the Rescue
The Vanderbeekers to the rescue is a beautiful novel about the Vanderbeeker children rescuing their family once more. This is the third book in the series.
It’s April, the month of their mother’s birthday, Issa’s violin audition, and the big photoshoot for Mom’s bakery. One day, about a week before the photoshoot, the kids mess up big time and put the whole bakery at risk. The crew does everything they can to fix it before the big shoot for an important magazine. Their attempts are being foiled, however, by a mysterious person who has been dropping random animals off at their doorstep.
The stress of prepping the apartment for the photographer, freaking out over the animal issue, keeping the ruined bakery a secret, and more add up, and the Vanderbeeker kids race time to accomplish everything.
The third book in the series is yet again a heartwarming read. The end had many twists and wasn’t what I had expected. I always like reading about kids who make the impossible possible, and the Vanderbeeker kids never disappoint. I would recommend this book to kids eight and up.
