The Sauropod Dinosaurs: Life in the Age of Giants
This is a really big book, which makes sense because it is all about the biggest dinosaurs ever, the sauropods! It is not really a book for children, although children will find a lot of things that are very interesting in it. There are lots of scientific words and lots of detail about how dinosaurs are related to each other and how scientists know that, but it is written for people who have already been studying dinosaurs a lot. What I like best about this book is that there are lots of great pictures and drawings, so even if you don’t want to read all of it, you can learn a lot and really enjoy looking at the pictures. I like to look at the pictures that show how dinosaurs evolved and to see how each species compares with other ones and what makes them the same or different. It was also very interesting to see how the sauropods’ bones changed over time to give them their long necks and small heads and teeth for chewing plants instead of meat. Every time you open this book you will find something new and interesting about these giant animals!
