The Paper Kingdom
Daniel has to go to work with his Mom and Dad at night. He is tired and doesn’t want to go. His Mom and Dad clean the Paper Kingdom because there is paper everywhere. His parents make it fun for him by playing games with him while cleaning. They try to find the queen, the dragons, the king. Daniel gets mad that the dragons make a lot of mess in the kitchen and his parents have to clean it up. But his Mom tells him that only the king can yell at the dragons. So one day, if Daniel is the king and sits on the throne, he can tell his dragons to be nice and clean so his Mom and Dad wouldn’t have to clean up their messes. I liked how this story was true. The author’s parents were night cleaners just like Daniel’s parents and took her sometimes when they had to work. I recommend this book to children who like imaginative stories and stories about family.
