The Mystery of the Missing Ming: Cedar Creek Mystery Book 2
Mallory Gilmartin is thirteen years old and lives in Cedar Creek. A few months ago she solved a mystery about Marlatt Manor, but now she finds herself in another mystery: a rare antique Ming vase was stolen from her grandmother Aggie’s friend, Edna May Florentine. As she goes around town picking up clues, Mallory hears and sees a plane that no one else can see. Mallory works with her friend Kyle, who is really smart. He helps her with figuring out the clues. She finds that someone else had a vase as valuable as Edna May’s. Edna May’s first cousin once removed, Vera Worthington, lost her own vase thirty years ago, when Edna May attended a party. Now Vera Worthington’s grandson is accusing Edna of theft. Mallory decides she is going to solve this mystery and clear Edna May’s name.
This was a fun mix of fantasy and realism. The ghost plane was annoying but gave Mallory helpful clues she needed to solve the mystery (although she could have solved it without the ghost). I hope there will be more mysteries for Mallory to solve!
