The Justice in Revenge
After defeating the ghost pirate queen in the action-packed prequel The Sin in the Steel, Buc and Eld have taken their place on the Board of the Kanados Trading Company, planning to use their power to overthrow the corrupt powers that govern Servenza. But when the Doga hires them to find out who is trying to assassinate her, and street killings become more frequent, Buc and Eld find themselves buried deep in a twisted political plot. And as the pressure grows and the shard of Goddess trapped within Buc’s head threatens to push them apart, they must find the evil lurking in the shadows before it’s too late, or else they may never see each other again.
I liked this book because it was thrilling and intriguing, and the world was so well built that you can’t help but be drawn in by it! The characters were realistic and fun, with complex personalities and relationships. Though I felt the angst between Buc and Eld got in the way of the story at times and the start was a bit slow, it was an interesting read. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a unique, dark, and incredibly fun thriller!
