The Jungle Book: Mowgli’s Story
The Jungle Book is about a boy named Mowgli. He’s the main character. At the beginning of the book, Mowgli is wandering around being lost. A wolf named Father Wolf had just woken up when baby Mowgli was wandering around their den. Mother Wolf saw him too.
Then, a jackal named Tabaqui outside of the said, “My lord, my lord, it went in here!” So Mother and Father Wolf had to protect Mowgli from Shere Khan the Tiger. He wanted to kill the man-cub. A man-cub is what they called Mowgli. Mother and Father Wolf wouldn’t let him.
Shere Khan couldn’t fight with Mother Wolf because she had an advantage and would fight to the death. Later that night, they showed Mowgli to the rest of the pack and it leader, Akela.
Then, we skip 10 or 11 years into the future. One day, Mowgli had wandered into an Indian village. Then an Indian woman came and took care of him. He had to wrap a cloth around his body, which he didn’t like. After a few weeks Mowgli heard that Shere Khan was coming to the village.
When he did, Mowgli got some fire and waved it at Shere Khan. The tiger backed out and ran away. The Indians were happy that the tiger was gone. But also scared because Mowgli could understand animals and skinned Shere Khan.
Then Mowgli wandered back into the forest never to be seen in the village again.
I rate this book four stars because it’s a book, but it will take some time to read the whole book. But other than that, it’s a good book.
