The Dog Who Lost His Bark
The Dog Who Lost His Bark is the story of a young dog who was adopted from his litter when he was small. The dog had learned to make his mean brother stop being rough with him by yipping loudly near his ear three times. Once he was adopted, he tried this same technique on his new owner, and he was rewarded by being thrown into the basement. He was not treated with love and kindness, and after peeing in the basement, his new family became very angry with him. They ripped up the carpet, rolled it up, put the young dog into the carpet, and tossed him in the dump. If you would like to know what happened to the dog, you need to read The Dog Who Lost His Bark.
I recommend The Dog Who Lost His Bark to anyone who has been through or who is going through a difficult time. If you have ever been afraid to speak up against wrongdoing or still feel that way, this story is a reminder that it is okay to stand up for what is right and good. Just because you may have lost your “bark” does not mean that you cannot get it back. So grab a copy, read it, and be inspired to speak up and speak out!
