The Disaster Days
The Disaster Days is about three kids named Hannah, Zoe, and Oscar. Hannah is a thirteen-year-old girl who goes to babysit her neighbors, Zoe and Oscar. She thought it would be easy enough that she didn’t need to bring her inhaler. When she is babysitting the Matlock kids, there was an earthquake. After the earthquake, Hannah can’t get in touch with her mom or Mrs. Matlock. The kids had to search the house for food, water, and first aid. Hannah started to get an asthma attack, Zoe got a cut from broken glass, and Oscar might have broken his leg. Will the kids be ok and contact an adult?
I loved The Disaster Days. I hope there will be a sequel. The book keeps you at the edge of your seat. I stayed up until midnight reading The Disaster Days. I liked how the book is written in Hannah’s point of view. I would recommend this book to girls around eleven to thirteen years old or kids who might go babysitting. At the end of the book, they have an interview with Hannah and her adventures in babysitting during the earthquake.
