The Book About Nothing
As the title says, this book is literally about nothing. There is even a whole page that lists things the book will NOT be about, like rainbows, stars, sailboats, princesses, and blueberries.
Well, what is it about? Nothing, because even “nothing” is something. For example, an empty jar is chock-full of nothing. A clean bedroom floor? It is completely covered with nothing. There are many more examples throughout the book of how nothing is the opposite of something.
This is a humorous book, and the animals in the pictures are very cute. My favorite part is when the hamsters are all eating chocolate chip cookies. When another hamster comes to eat a cookie, there are no more left, and the sad look on his face is so funny! I would look that way, too, if everyone else had a cookie, but I got nothing! A close second is when the skunk uses the bathroom, but he forgets to flush the toilet. After he flushes, then there is nothing in the toilet! Potty humor is always funny to kids!
