Splat the Cat and the Snowy Day Surprise
Splat the Cat wakes up one morning and there is snow outside. He wants to make a snow cat with his mouse friend, Seymour. Splat takes his sled and tells Seymour to pull first. They make it up a hill, but then they fall down to the perfect place to build a snow cat. When they start making the snow cat, Spike is not nice to Splat and Seymour. Spike is a bully cat. He throws snowballs at them and tells them that he will make the best snow cat.
This story is a lift-the-flap book. Some kids might think that it’s a baby book, but it’s not. The story is great and the pictures are hilarious. I like when Splat gets dressed to go outside and throws all his clothes out of his drawers. I also love the picture of Seymour pulling Splat on the sled up to the hill. There are a lot of big words with red letters that tell what Splat, Seymour, and Spike are doing, like “WHEEE!” and “SPLOOSH!,” and that make the story really funny. I like what happens to Spike at the end of the story. You will have to read it to find out what happens.
