Rita and The Firefighters is about a little girl trying to join in the play of two boys pretending to be firefighters. A big girl saw her and asked if she wanted to be a firefighter. Rita wanted to be a kitty but still wanted to play with the firefighters because they were having so much fun. So the big girl asks the boys if she can leave her kitty with them to nap in their fire truck. The boys realized they need a fire truck and make one for her and a bed to sleep in. While they are writing their reports, the kitty crept out of bed and the boys chase her and put her back to bed. But as soon as they start to work, she creeps out again and the boys chase her laughing and it becomes a new fun game of kitty chase.

I only kind of liked this book. I thought Rita should have said please when she asked to join in. I did like when they all started playing kitty chase together at the end. The story was ok but I wouldn’t want to read it again. My sister really likes it though so I will probably have to hear it again anyway.
