Reena’s Rainbow is about a little girl named Reena who is deaf. Reena may not be able to hear, but she can see very well, which makes her good at hide and seek. When she plays with the other kids, she can always find them. While playing at the park, Reena finds a brown dog who also likes to play hide and seek with her and the other children. When Reena is hiding, she can’t hear the other kids when they leave the park. Reena is sad to get left behind. But the brown dog doesn’t leave Reena. Reena decides that she and the dog work well together, and she brings him home as her new pet.

I liked reading Reena’s Rainbow because it is about a girl who is deaf. It is nice to read books about kids who are different than you. The front cover is the first thing that drew me to the book, with the title written in rainbow colors. The illustrations are very bright and colorful. I love that the brown dog finds a new home with a little girl who loves him. I would recommend this book to people who are deaf so they can see someone just like them in a book and to children who may have friends who are different than them.
