Over the Hills and Far Away: A Treasury of Nursery Rhymes
This book has lots of different songs and rhymes. Some of them I already know, like Hey Diddle Diddle. There are a lot of them and the book is really long. I like my mama to sing these songs to me. I like some of the pictures and some I don’t like. I like the song where you laugh – it says, “this little girl gathers roses,” and then laughs. It is really funny! One song says, “you shall have a fishie in a little dishie,” and the picture has lots of different kinds of fish. That one is fun. I like the ones where mama tickles me, too. Then there is a page that has all the letters and an apple pie and there are mice all around it. I like the mouse with its tongue sticking out because he wants to eat it! I like the one with the lion and the unicorn, and where the girl catches a fish, but she lets it go because it bites her little finger. We have books that have the same pictures as a lot of these pictures, but some we don’t have yet but I wish we could get them.
