Once Upon a Rainy Day
I don’t like this story very much, because there aren’t any animals that show up. The story has no pictures except the rain on the trees and the houses. It says that most days, there is a bird that wakes up the Big Bad Wolf, who runs to the pig’s house to try to eat him, but the pig runs to his first friend, who is a rabbit, and they crawl underground to their next friend. That is a flying squirrel who flies with them in a hot air balloon to their next friend. That is a bear who was a circus clown. The wolf keeps chasing them. Finally the friends get rid of the wolf. This happens every day. But not on a rainy day like in the book. So in the book, there aren’t any animals at all. So it is kind of boring. I wish I could see the story really happening in the book. I wish I could see them flying in the hot air balloon or blowing the wolf out of a trumpet.
