No More Noisy Nights
This book is about ghosts, monsters and fairies, and that makes it one of my favorites! It talks about Jackson, who just moved into a new home and tries to sleep each night after unpacking. Every night, during the night, he hears noises: from a ghost in the attic going “oooeee”. From a monster in the basement going “boogety woogety woo”. Or from a pixie in the piano playing music. He tries to cover his ears and sleep but he really can’t very well. Each morning he is more and more tired (I loved it when he mistakenly brushed his teeth with soap or put ketchup on his toast!). Each morning he goes to talk to the new noisy guest, but they all answer that they wouldn’t know what to do instead. So he thinks about it while unpacking, comes up with an idea, and gives the new friend a gift: a puzzle, a toy set, and music sheets for the piano. Finally, the forth night he can sleep… With only the subtle noises coming from a lullaby song on the piano, a quiet train set and the pieces of the puzzle.
