Love from The Very Hungry Caterpillar 

This book is about the caterpillar from the other book The very hungry caterpillar that I like so much. In this book the caterpillar says “I love you” in many many ways I had not heard before, and it uses a lot of the pictures from the food the caterpillar used to eat in the previous book. “You are so sweet” and “you are the apple of my eye” show the caterpillar eating through the apple; “you are the cherry of my cake” shows the chocolate cherry cake (my favorite).

There are also other ways to say “I love you” that use nature. Like making birds sing, the sun shine, or the stars sparkle. The pictures saying so were all really nice, but I preferred the one of the butterfly with big, wide wings, like the one the caterpillar grows into.

From the last page I also learned to say “I love you” using the heart symbol to say love. So I made my mom a card just like that.
