Lana’s World: Let’s Go to the Moon
Let’s Go to the Moon is a book about a girl named Lana who wants to go to the moon. Lana is a curious girl who likes to explore the moon. She was very much interested in going to the moon, despite her family’s warning. Her desire inspired her to decorate her room like “space” and build a toy rocket. One day she flew to the moon alone, and to her surprise she met a few moon people who seemed familiar to her.
This is a really good book that also introduces concepts about the moon’s craters, gravity, loneliness, darkness, and so on. It is easy for kids to understand. The language is very simple and flows smoothly like water. The illustrations are watercolor pictures, which look cute and colorful. My favorite part is when she and her family make moon cookies at end. This would make a good series like Let’s Go to the Party or Parade or Beach, and so on. This book is suitable for early readers such as first and second graders. Why wait? Read and enjoy this book!
