It Is Night
I think a brown bear should sleep in a cave. A rooster sleeps in a nest. A rabbit sleeps in some grass. This book shows a rabbit sleeping in a cabbage! That’s funny! I think a duck should sleep in a pond. A cat sleeps inside its house. A seal sleeps on the land by the water. A dog sleeps in a puppy cage. An elephant sleeps on the land. Wait, it sleeps with other jungle animals? (What if the lion eats the elephant or the zebra?) I think a railroad train stays at the station. Dolls probably sleep in a drawer. I think a mouse sleeps inside a little hole in the wall. I got that one! A monkey would sleep in the trees. Yes! Told ya! Let me guess, it’s just a bunch of toys. Yup, I was right. I have a lot of stuffed animals at night, but not that many. The pictures are good. My favorite is all of them! It’s fun guessing in the story. Everyone who likes animals will like this story. Daytime is the best time to read it. It won’t help you fall asleep. This is an easy book to read myself.
