In Mary’s Garden
In this book there’s a girl named Mary who liked building and creating. Her father taught her and taught her until she became an artist, and then she traveled the world. When she grew up she lived by the shore, so she and her two dogs would go down to the beach and collect things. They made the things they collected into a new creature. But he looked sort of lonely, so she made another creature, and she made a whole entire garden and there was always room in her garden for one more creature.
I like this book because it has very pretty pictures and the dogs are really funny and cute. It encourages you to create and always feel free to create. I liked how she went to the beach and collected all sorts of things that she put together. I also liked the creatures she made. This is a true story, and in the back there is a picture of Mary and her garden, and you can see some of the creatures she made.
