In Focus: Forests

This book focuses on the ecosystem (plants and animals that live together and depend on each other) of the forest. It is broken down into sections on different types of forests, like the Amazon rainforest, mangrove forests, and kelp forests.

All of the pages in the book open up and fold out to show even more amazing pages of information about plants and animals in their habitat. All the sections are so cool that I can’t pick one favorite! However, I love the rain forest section because it shows what lives in each level of the rain forest, from the canopy at the tops of the trees, all the way down to the ground.

I love the sea otters and spotted seals in the kelp forest. All the artists did a fantastic job with the illustrations in this book. The pictures are all very detailed and colorful! There is even a section on Forest Mythology. It is interesting how many cool stories people can make up about creatures that live in the forest! People should read this book because it is interesting and informative.
