Hillary Rodham Clinton: Some Girls Are Born to Lead
I read this book at bedtime. It is about a true story of Hillary Rodham Clinton. When she was a girl in the 1950s, it was a “man’s world.” That means that only men could have powerful jobs. But Hillary grew up to do important things like being a lawyer, a senator, and secretary of state. Now she is running for President! When it said in the book that she was a superwoman, I asked my mom if that meant Hillary would climb tall buildings in a single bound. I learned that she would still save the day in different ways. “No one gets to stop a girl from being the greatest person she can be.” I think that is a good thing to remember because I want to be the greatest person I can be, too. I loved everything about this book. The artist drew pictures of many important women together in one painting with Hillary. I liked seeing these women like General Motors CEO Mary Barra, author J. K. Rowling (of the Harry Potter books!), chef Alice Waters, and actor Meryl Streep, of course. This book is inspiring.
