Great Big Things
The world is full of Great Big Things, especially for a little mouse. The little mouse travels over deserts, mountains, and the big ocean. Little mouse travels on a train, through the forest past bears, and past a big blue whale. He travels through storms, strong winds, and sunsets, all to find another little mouse.
The illustrations are my favorite part about Great Big Things. When I first received the book, I noticed how beautiful the sunset and mountain were on the cover, and it really made me excited to read it. But then I started reading, and it was not what I was hoping for it to be. I didn’t really get it. I’m not exactly sure if there is much story other than a mouse seeing big things in the world while he travels with his crumb of food. I think it is nice for the little mouse to bring a crumb of food to his friend, but I just wish there was more to the story. I can say I liked looking at the illustrations but not really reading the book.
