Going for a Sea Bath
Leanne has to have a bath, but she thinks that baths are boring. So her dad has the idea to make her bath exciting with a bunch of sea creatures. When one sea turtle isn’t enough, Leann’s father runs back to the sea and gets two eels, then three clown fish and fills her tub all the way up to ten octopi. Soon there isn’t even room for Leanne to have her bath. Going for a Sea Bath is a funny story of a father making bathtime fun for his daughter.
I really liked Going for a Sea Bath. It makes me wonder what it would be like to live by the ocean and have all these sea creatures. I think it would be neat to have a bath with clownfish and a sea turtle, but I’m not too sure about the sea urchin. I learned that more than one octopus is called octopi, which I think is a funny word. I liked the illustrations, especially when the little girl is under water with all the sea creatures. I think younger, preschool aged kids will love Going for a Sea Bath.
