Etty Steele Vampire Hunter

Etty Steele Vampire Hunter is an action-packed story of a girl who wants to please her mother and become a vampire hunter following her mother’s path. Henrietta aka “Etty” starts off secretly training each morning before school in an effort to please her mother and finally win a training duel while she awaits the arrival of her vampire hunting powers. When mysterious deaths in her town lead Etty to learn that there are not only vampires but also witches in the world around her, she doesn’t know what to think. After learning that her best friend, April, is a witch before even April knows, a new student at school has Etty on edge. April doesn’t understand why Etty dislikes the friendly and anxious Vladimir so much. In the end, Etty’s unlikely loyalty to her enemy-turned-friend Vladimir Nox forces her to deal with the fact that everything her mother had trained her for may not be true. With the help of Etty April, she sees that not all vampires have to be evil.

The end of the story leaves room to see what the future brings for the school friends and how their paths will cross again after Etty learns that her mother may have been responsible for killing innocent “pure-heart” vampires who had to choose between survival and emotions for their family. This story flowed very quickly and was hard to put down in between chapters. It was hard to tell what was truth and what was not when sorting out how all of the people were connected to each other which is something Etty also had to try to piece together throughout the adventure.
