Engineer This! is a book written by Carol J McBride and Francisco L Gonzales. I have not read any books written by them, so this is a unique book review for me. This book shows you how to make puppets and catapults and more, more, more. Ever heard of the bobbing dog?!? Read this and you’ll see what I mean. Motorcar? Read this. Any climbing creatures? READ THIS! Different types of energy (say, kinetic energy) are mentioned in the book. You can make bat wings with the help of kinetic energy. Gliders require kinetic energy, too. I even learned some history in this book, because it says: “Anthropologists sometimes find tools developed by early humans.” Wow!! Pretty cool, huh?

I was interested in reading this book because my daddy is a science teacher, and he does lots of demonstrations with his students. I definitely want to make the “It lays an egg” project because my little brother loves birds. Boys and girls ages 5 – 11 will enjoy this book. I know I did!
