Emma and Julia Love Ballet
Emma and Julia Love Ballet This book tells about how both Emma and Julia spent their day. Emma and Julia both enjoy ballet very much. They go to ballet class and practice a lot with other dancers. Julia stays even longer with the other dancers to rehearse for a performance on stage at night. Emma and her family go to the city to watch Julia perform in a ballet performance. Emma get to meet Julia, too. Emma tells Julia that she dreams of being on stage just like her new friend, Julia. Julia tells Emma she used to dream of dancing on stage, too.
Since I really like ballet, I was excited to read this book. After looking at the cover, I thought Emma and Julia would dance together, but they didn’t. It was interesting to see how Emma and Julia both love ballet. The book compared Emma and Julia’s day – kind of like a dairy, rather than telling a story with a problem and solution. I like the illustrations, too. I think this would be a good book ages 4-6, especially kid who like ballet.
