Cloud Country (Pixar Animation Studios Artist Showcase)

Cloud Country is about a little cloudlet named Gale. Gale lives in the clouds and loves looking down and earth-gazing. Gale is going to formation school and needs to take a big test to show the Guardians that she can make clouds. But no matter how hard she practices, her cumulous clouds all come out like something from earth, an elephant, dog, or sheep. During Gale’s exam, she gets very nervous and all she can make is earth shapes like a tugboat. She is so upset, but the Guardians tell her they have been looking for a daydream cloud maker.

I more than liked Cloud Country, I adored it. I loved the idea of a cloudlet in the sky making the clouds I look up to. We read this book outside and immediately looked up to see the shapes that Gale makes in the clouds. One cloud even looked like Gale. It was fun to see what my mom and sister saw in the clouds. The pictures are beautiful, and the story is like nothing I have read before. I learned that this book is written by someone from Pixar, and I wish they would make it into a short movie.
