Cat Dad, King of the Goblins
Luey, her sister Miri, and her friend Phil (who is a frog) are enjoying a pleasant afternoon when Luey’s dad, a cat, jumps on their books. They have to try to catch him! Miri grabs his tale, and he drags her into the linen closet. But the linen closet was actually a jungle, where the fungus goblins live. Luey and Phil run after Miri, but when they stop to rest, they are captured by the goblins! Now they have to find a way to escape and get their dad back at the same time!
This is a fun comic book. The story is exciting and silly – what person has a cat for a dad? How do goblins grow from fungus? The pictures are very silly too. I like the one where the cat is chasing the string; it’s so cute, and the children have a good way to get out of their problem. You can always tell what are thinking. It is easy to read and I think most children my age will like it.
