Baseball Opposites (Major League Baseball: First Base Books)
This is a licensed book of Baseball opposites. The illustrations are bright and colorful photographs from the world of baseball. The opposite concepts are very simple for the very young readers but the illustrations and MLB players and team logos keep the interest of older children as well. I especially liked how some of the words were written in their meaning, for example big was written in large letters and small in small letters or slowly was written spaced out to look as if it was going slowly. This is a great way to learn the meaning of words and how to read those words. Me and my baseball-loving brothers ages 6 and 8 all loved this book. I loved how the book had key sight opposite words at the top in very bright red baseball hats. The text is simple but informative and the bright colorful action photographs which kept my interest and any age reader. We would definitely recommend this book and we will look for more books written by this author. There are not many books about baseball that would engage this range of readers. I loved this book and I will tell all my friends to read it too!
