Barefoot Books Solar System

Barefoot Books Solar Systemis a beautiful non-fiction book all about the solar system. It has oversized pages and also flaps to reveal hidden facts. The book features gorgeous drawings and is full of facts about the whole universe. One page is entirely about the sun and many of the other, give great details about the planets. I loved the explanations about the lunar and solar eclipses and also why we need to study space. There is also a double-page spread about prior voyages into space and a glossary for confusing words, which I thought was very helpful. The glow in the dark map, that is also included with this book, is really fun and an awesome addition to the book to hang up in your room!

The drawings in this book are beautiful and well made, but because they are drawings the book feels like it should be for younger kids. The book was easy to understand and I think because of that it would be wonderful for kids seven and up!

I really enjoyed learning more about space with this book and I bet any kid, that also would like to know more about space, will love and enjoy this book!
