A MILLION DOTS
A Million Dots is breathtaking. It has so many dots in it, you can even lose track. But the book shows you how many. The highest these dots go up to is 1,048,576. You get to that number starting with one plus one, and then two plus two, and four plus four, and so on. The illustrations are kind of clever because I didn’t know you could draw so many dots and keep track of them all. We counted dots for the first few pages, but, after a while, they got too big and we just trusted that they were all there. It’s weird because how did the illustrator make pinpoints so tiny? I think anyone who’s interested in math, numbers, or counting would like this book. A beautifully illustrated mathematical book.
