806: A Novel
When KT learns that her biological father was a sperm donor with a “wonderful profile,” she’s determined to find him. And when she learns that Gabe Butcherelli and Jesse Worthington-Flax are her siblings, she’s more than disappointed. But what’s the one thing they all have in common? They want to find their father. The sperm-siblings embark on a wild-goose chase while evading police, getting robbed by homeless dudes, and eventually meeting a life-altering pig: all to find donor 806. One even falls in love with a Miley Cyrus look-alike.
Featuring lucky escapes and a whole lotta coincidence, 806 is teen drama at its best. Unfortunately, it was more cliche than unlikely. What are the chances that a dyslexic nurse was hired for paperwork, a group of underage teens manage to evade the police for a week, and three 18 year olds fit under a hospital bed? The majority of the plot was as unrealistic as can be.
Interesting and occasionally humorous, 806 will appeal to those with a flair for the dramatic.
