I Can See Just Fine

This is a good book and I recommend it for people who are ages four, five and six. Paige was happy that she did not have to go to school on the day that she got her eyes examined. I am surprised that she was not happy to go to school, because I like to go to school. Paige had to try on a lot of glasses until it seemed like she was trying on the same glasses over and over. Paige looked at a skunk and thought it was a cat. Her glasses got smudged and she put orange juice in her cereal.

“I can see just fine”, she said. Sometimes people don’t realize that they can’t see very well. It takes a special eye doctor so we can get glasses to help us see better. I like this book and I think it is a good way for kids to think about how they might not be seeing as well as they think they do. I hope lots of kids read the book and see the pictures and know that getting glasses is a good thing. And, they might even learn how important it is to clean your glasses so you can see what you’re doing.
