What Not to Do If You Turn Invisibleis an exciting book about a girl named Ethel Leatherhead. She buys acne medicine but accidentally uses too much. When she gets a tanning bed for free from a going-out-of-business sale, she tries it out. Ethel climbs into the tanning bed and falls asleep. When she wakes up, she realizes that she is invisible. Eventually, it wears off (but one day it doesn’t). Two kids called the Knight twins get video of Ethel invisible in the rain. The rain lands on her and gets her wet so that people can see her. The twins threaten to show it to everyone unless Ethel and her friend Boydy pay them a ridiculous amount of money, but they don’t have the money. Ethel has to sneak into the Knights’ house and delete the video off all of their devices. Ethel puts several layers clothes on to hide her invisibility. She tries to tell her grandma that she has become invisible. Grandma thinks Ethel is speaking metaphorically and tells her grandchild that everyone feels that way sometimes. Ethel tells Grandma that she means invisible literally, but her grandma doesn’t understand.

I would give this book five stars because I like Ethel. The story is exciting, and the ending will surprise you.
