The Wizard in the Wood (Kit the Wizard)

Kit is the youngest wizard in the world of magic. After a meeting with the council, Kit gets a dragon egg. With the help of the wizard Ben and her friends, Kit has to make sure the egg stays safe until it hatches. The next day, Kit, Ben, Alita, and Josh go down to the library to find that the egg has been stolen. Kit tries to find the egg and thief, only to discover that one of the people she trusted the most has betrayed her. Will Kit be able to stop the thieves from changing the magical world forever?

This story was enjoyable, easy to read, and funny, but it was also predictable and not very believable. The illustrations were fun, and I liked it when there was the comic book section when Kit and Faith got used to a portal comic. I think this book is for ages seven to ten and for those who like stories filled with magic.
