The Trouble with Magic: A Matter-of-Fact Magic Book
Rick and Barbara hated cabbage. This led them to being friends with a wizard named Harrison. Barbara wanted her room to smell like roses instead of cabbage, but she got a lot more when Harrison magically filled her room with actual roses. Everywhere! Rick wanted his room to smell like pine, but Harrison filled Rick’s room with a pine tree! This was too much, but Harrison wouldn’t undo it. Until he would undo his magic, they invited Harrison to live in their attic. That night, while Harrison was showering, Barbara figured out how to undo his spell using his magical umbrella. She discovered that the umbrella could only do its magic when it was raining outside! A few days later, the kids took Harrison to the local park. At the park, Harrison introduced them to a talking sea serpent named George who lived in the lake. Harrison’s hat had blown into the water, and George swam out to get it for him. You’ll have to read the book to find out what happens next!
This book would be good for kids who like magic and strange stuff. I liked the book because it was crazy and really good!
