The Storm Leopards is a great story about friendship and doing what is right. In this story, Isabelle and her family visit a zoo, and she is the only one to see a snow leopard. When she goes home, she decides to research snow leopards. After learning more about snow leopards, Isabelle goes to bed, and when she wakes up, she is in Mongolia. In Mongolia, she meets a girl named Odval and she learns about Mongolian culture. Odval’s family doesn’t hunt snow leopards, but when one of their goats is killed Odval’s brothers try to hunt down and kill a snow leopard. Odval shows Isabelle the snow leopard, and they work together to save it and its cubs. Overall this was a very good story. I liked the information about mongolian culture. The book had many nice illustrations, which helped to show the Mongolian village and the snow leopards. I would recommend this book to kids from six to nine years old, and to kids that like animals.
