The Stolen Sapphire: A Samantha Mystery (American Girl Beforever Mysteries)
The Stolen Sapphire: A Samantha Mystery (American Girl Beforever Mysteries) Have you ever been on a ship? Samantha and Nellie have! Samantha is a brave girl from 1904 who is traveling with her grandparents and her sister, Nellie. They are going on a ship to England and France in the early 1900s.They meet a professor, who is taking his precious Blue Star sapphire to a museum. The legend says that whoever carries the Blue Star will have bad luck. At dinner, Samantha got to see the sapphire. A few nights later the professor tried to show everyone the sapphire again, but somebody jerked the tablecloth and knocked over the candelabra! The sapphire got lost! Who would steal the sapphire? Samantha and Nellie decided to search for the sapphire. Could it be one of the passengers? Or the professor’s only nephew?
If you want to find out if Samantha and Nellie find the sapphire and get it back, then read this great book! I like this book because it has mystery and excitement. It is interesting to read how things were different in the 1900s. Samantha is helpful, kind, and brave. I think she would make a great friend. I look forward to reading more Samantha books in this American Girl series.
