The Stars Never Rise
I’m in love with everything Rachel Vincent writes. The Stars Never Rise is the perfect read for paranormal romance fans. It’s thrilling, terrifying, and at the same time, romantic. I had a very hard time putting the book down. Nina is struggling to live life being the primary caretaker of her sister, Mellie, as their mom rots away from drugs. Life for the sisters is spent stealing and trying to keep low key so their mother isn’t found out. When Nina’s sister reveals a shocking secret, the only way Nina can save her sister is by running from the church and the terrifying demons. Along the way, they meet up with rogue exorcists to help with the saving of her sister. The premise of this book is so interesting that’s it’s unputdownable. I loved the world and the characters, and Vincent’s writing is spot on. Waiting for the second book is going to be torture. This is one of those books that you can read over and over again. Overall, this was one hell of a ride that I never want off of. I can’t wait to see more of this scary world Vincent has created.
