This tells the story of a little child who is left all alone when his mom goes to work one day, so he decides to take the bus to visit his grandma. But he falls asleep on the bus, and when he wakes up, he doesn’t know where he is. He is very scared, but then a big deer comes and takes him up into the clouds, and he meets some another animal, and also a whale. The whale swallows them, but then – thank goodness it wasn’t an orca – blows them out its blowhole back into the sky. Then, the other animal goes home to its mom, and finally, the deer takes the boy back home.

This book is very beautiful. This book doesn’t have any words; it only has pictures, and they are all black and white and gray. My mother thinks it is one of the most beautiful books she has ever seen, and it makes her cry when she reads it. It doesn’t make me cry, but I really like the story, especially because the deer takes care of the boy, and then he gets to be back with his family.
